Gage Jump, a 6'0", 197-pound left-handed pitcher from Aliso Viejo, CA, has been assigned to the Louisiana State Tigers. Jump was drafted by the San Diego Padres in the 5th round of the 2022 MLB Draft. Jump is a highly-touted prospect who is considered to be one of the top left-handed pitchers in the country. He has a fastball that has been clocked at up to 94 mph, as well as a sharp curveball and a developing changeup. Jump is expected to be a key part of the LSU Tigers' rotation this season.
